Here’s the story:
This was the first time my kids had been to the beach in ages. We took a little trip to my mother-in-law’s house to enjoy a family visit and some time at the beach. My mother-in-law lives in Dana Point just a few steps from the beach. This part of the beach is a private area for the residents who live in my mother-in-law’s complex and for the guests of the Ritz Carlton which is right there on the beach. It’s ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL there. We don’t get a chance to go out there very often. That time we spent the night and had a really relaxing time.
This is one of my most treasured pictures. Most of my favorite pictures were taken on this trip. I had recently bought a new camera and had lots of fun with it. I have a video of Bryce almost DYING! OK…maybe that’s a little dramatic, but it WAS scary! Bryce was a little too confident in the water and was knocked down by the tide. It scared the HECK outta me!! I was recording a video with my camera and yelling to Scottie that she was out too far into the water, when the camera caught Bryce getting knocked down by the water. In my terror, I actually forgot I was recording.
